A 46-year-old man was backing out of a driveway in Brooklyn Park when he struck a grandmother, 49, pushing her grandchild in a stroller. The grandmother died en route to North Memorial Medical Center. The 1 year-old grandchild was not injured.
The accident happened in the 2800 block of 94th Avenue N. The man was taken to Brooklyn Park police station for drug and alcohol testing. He is cooperating with police. Brooklyn Park police captain Greg Roehl said that no charges will likely be filed against the driver.

Car Crash on Hwy 10: According to Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department, there was a head-on collision on Hwy 10 Monday morning. A 21-year-old driver was dead at the scene.
